Summer Strength and Fitness Tips
Summer is the perfect time to supercharge your health and fitness and I’ve got some fun tips to help keep you strong and energized all season long!
🏋️♀️ Strength Training: Whether you’re lifting weights at the gym or doing bodyweight exercises at home, strength training is key to building lean muscle and boosting your metabolism. Plus, who doesn’t love feeling strong and powerful? I recommend strength training 2-4 days per week for most busy adults.
🍗 High-Protein Diet: Fuel your body with a balanced diet rich in protein! Think grilled chicken, delicious fish, and steak. Protein helps repair and build muscle, keeps you full, and gives you the energy to crush your workouts and enjoy those summer activites. Plus, it’s the best on the bbq!
🥗 Balanced Meals: Don’t forget to load up on colorful veggies, fruits, and whole grains. A well-rounded diet ensures you’re getting all the vitamins and minerals you need to stay healthy and vibrant. Try new summer recipes and enjoy the abundance of fresh, seasonal produce! Berries are my fav.
🌞 Outdoor Fun: Take advantage of the beautiful weather! Go for a run, hike, bike ride, or even a little swim at the beach. Being active outdoors is a great way to soak up some vitamin D and enjoy nature. I find the sun just makes me happier and feel better.
🚴♂️ Stay Hydrated: Don’t forget to drink plenty of water, especially in the heat. Staying hydrated is crucial for peak performance and overall health. Adding some electrolytes if you sweat a lot can be helpful too.
✨ Positive Vibes Only: Remember, fitness is a journey, not a destination. Celebrate progress no matter how small, stay consistent, and most importantly, make sure you have fun!
