365 Consistent vs. 75 Hard: Which One Builds the Healthier You?
In 2019, Andy Frisella launched the now-famous 75 Hard Challenge — a 75-day mental toughness program built around five strict daily rules:
- Stick to a diet (no cheats or alcohol)
- Do two 45-minute workouts (one must be outside)
- Drink one gallon of water
- Read 10 pages of non-fiction
- Take a daily progress photo
Miss any? You start back at Day 1.
It’s intense. It’s demanding. And it’s helped a lot of people make serious changes in a short amount of time.
But I’ve never done it.
Not because I couldn’t. But because I believe in something different.
365 Consistent
I believe in what I call 365 Consistent. It’s not a 75-day sprint. It’s a year-round lifestyle. It’s about building the kind of consistency that doesn’t end with a challenge — it becomes who you are.
Here’s the truth: 75 Hard is great if you need a serious kickstart. The structure, the rules, the daily non-negotiables — they force discipline. And for someone who’s struggled to stay on track or needs clear guardrails, it can be powerful.
But 75 Hard has an end date.
And I’ve seen far too many people go hard for 75 days, then fall off the wagon in the weeks that follow. They celebrate by bingeing, drinking, or undoing the very habits they just built.
That’s why I go all-in on 365 Consistent.
What 365 Consistent Looks Like for Me
It’s not a checklist. It’s not about perfection. It’s about small, sustainable habits stacked every single day — for life.
- Train daily (rest if needed, but no more than 1 day off in a row)
- Get 10,000 steps every single day
- Eat three protein-packed meals
- Drink water all day
- Sleep by 10 PM
- Wake up before the sun
- Avoid toxic substances and poor food choices
- Keep learning, growing, improving
These things don’t live on a whiteboard. They happen because of years of habit-building and staying consistent even when life gets hectic.
The Harder Path? Maybe. The Better One? Absolutely.
75 Hard is clear. It has rules. And most importantly — it has an end date. That can make it easier for some people to follow.
365 Consistent? There’s no finish line. No big celebration. No before-and-after post.
But there is long-term progress. More energy. Better health. A strong, resilient body and mind — not for a few weeks, but for life.
So ask yourself: are you looking for a 75-day sprint… or a lifetime of results?
