One Life Personal Training Is Now an Official HYROX Affiliate — Here’s What That Means for You

If you’ve been paying attention to the fitness world lately, you’ve probably heard the name HYROX popping up everywhere.

And for good reason.

HYROX is the fastest-growing fitness competition on the planet right now — over 550,000 athletes competed in 2025 alone. It’s an indoor race built around 8 rounds of 1km running, each followed by a functional workout station: sled pushes, sled pulls, rowing, farmers carries, sandbag lunges, wall balls, and more.

It’s challenging. It’s measurable. And it’s designed for real people — not just elite athletes.

Two weeks ago, One Life Personal Training became an official HYROX affiliate.

Here’s what that means — and why we did it.


Why We Affiliated with HYROX

The short answer: because the way we already train here is the best possible foundation for HYROX.

Strength training, progressive overload, constantly varied conditioning — that’s been our approach for 13 years. We’ve always believed that building a strong, capable body is the goal. HYROX just gives that training a new layer of purpose.

If you’ve been training with us, you’re already ahead of most people who show up to their first HYROX race. The strength you’ve built, the conditioning you’ve developed, the consistency you’ve maintained — it all transfers directly.

We affiliated because HYROX is exploding in popularity and we want to make sure our members and our community have access to the best possible training for it — whether that means competing or just getting fitter in a new way.


What Is HYROX? (If You’re New to It)

HYROX is a standardized indoor fitness race. Every event, everywhere in the world, follows the same format:

8 x (1km run + 1 workout station)

The 8 stations are:

  1. SkiErg — 1,000m
  2. Sled Push
  3. Sled Pull
  4. Burpee Broad Jump — 80m
  5. Rowing — 1,000m
  6. Farmers Carry — 200m
  7. Sandbag Lunges — 100m
  8. Wall Balls — 100 reps

You can compete solo, with a partner, or as a relay team. There are divisions for all fitness levels.

What’s Changing at One Life

For current members: your Monday–Friday classes aren’t changing.

Those classes are still the core — the most effective way to build lean muscle, lose fat, increase your strength, and feel better every day. That doesn’t change.

What IS changing: starting this Saturday, our Saturday class becomes a HYROX Engine Workout.

These sessions are interval-based and specifically designed to build the engine that HYROX demands:

  • Aerobic capacity
  • Endurance
  • Lactate threshold
  • VO2 max

They’ll run a little longer than what you’re used to. They’ll feel different. And they’ll make you fitter in ways your Monday–Friday training complements perfectly.

We’re also stepping away from partner workouts for the time being on Saturdays — mixing up the stimulus is always a good thing for long-term progress.

Our Monday–Friday classes build the strength and conditioning foundation. Our Saturday Engine sessions build the endurance and aerobic capacity on top of that. Together, it’s the complete picture.
