The 5 Most Common Things Said By Someone Not Getting Results
here are the 5 most common things said by someone not getting the results they want.
- “I eat pretty well.”
- “I know what to do, I just need to do it.”
- “Once I get through ______, it’ll be easier to stay consistent.”
- “I do great during the week, I just need to figure out my weekends.”
- “______ just always gets me off track.”
Saying any of these is totally understandable, but that also doesn’t make any of them true.
The problem anyone saying these things actually has, is control.
They’re failing to take control of their lifestyle decisions and are consistently allowing external factors control them instead of choosing to do what leads to the goal.
Because remember, choosing what leads you to the results you desire is very rarely what feels good or comes naturally to you in the moment.
It’s why SELF CONTROL and DISCIPLINE are the two most important traits to develop on your fitness journey.
“I eat pretty well” — is another way of saying, “I usually choose healthy foods and I enjoy eating clean, but I’m unwilling to track my calories because that holds me accountable for all of my decisions.”
⠀⠀
“I know what to do, I just need to do it.” — is admitting that you’re not willing to do the work you know is required OR what you think is required is unsustainable (also is not what’s actually required).
⠀⠀
“Once I get through….” — is blaming the time of year or events going on for your lack of progress, but the reality is that there’s ALWAYS something and there’s NEVER a great time to start.
⠀⠀
“I’m great during the week…” — is just not having a strategy that ACTUALLY fits your lifestyle.
⠀⠀
“…always gets me off track.” — is failing to plan for the inevitable (your kids, work schedule, etc.).
⠀⠀
All of this really just boils down to CHOICE and TAKING CONTROL.
My team and I would love to help you come up with a plan that both fits your lifestyle and allows you to take control. Book a free no sweat intro here.
