Why Should My Kids Exercise If They Already Play Sports?

Varied Activity Helps Kids Become Better Athletes

Unlike the typical sports your child may be doing, we focus on getting stronger, living a healthy lifestyle, AND HAVING FUN!

Activities like dodgeball, obstacle courses, bodyweight movements, pushing sleds, carrying odd objects, and running help improve muscle tone and get in better shape.

Our Kids & Teens programs are designed to help children begin to become well-rounded athletes who will be better at any and every sport that they play because CrossFit doesn’t coach them to be good at just one thing. They’re also designed to enhance all the things kids need to do when they play — push and pull, run and throw, climb and jump.

Nowadays, most kids become specialists and focus on one sport year round. The problem with this is that kids aren’t fully developed, whether it be their muscles, tendons, joints, or ligaments and they never develop like they should or like they would if they weren’t being treated like a professional athlete. Drew Brees played football, basketball, and baseball in high school and it wasn’t until college that he began to focus on football.

One of our program’s main objectives is preventing childhood obesity and establishing habits for a healthy lifestyle.

Workouts are fun but also demand strength, stamina, and perseverance. The physical and mental demands help foster self-confidence, discipline, persistence, problem solving and integrity that can be applied in all areas of children’s lives including sports.
