3 Ways To Fight Fatigue Part 2

Feeling drained, fatigued, or just plain zapped? You’re not alone. Despite the plethora of energy “hacks” floating around online, many folks still struggle to shake off that persistent tiredness. Perhaps you’ve tried every trick in the book, visited the doctor, and got a clean bill of health, yet you’re still not feeling quite like yourself. Your focus is off, and that spark of energy seems elusive.

But fret not, we’ve got three experiments for you to try if you’re feeling less than refreshed. Here’s our second experiment:

Experiment 2: Help yourself feel socially safe.

Humans are wired for connection, but not all relationships leave us feeling charged and rejuvenated. The key lies in attachment—the ability to form secure, stable bonds with others.

Secure attachments are like energy boosters. They make you feel seen, accepted, and supported, giving you the freedom to be your authentic self without fear or judgment.

On the flip side, insecure attachments can be energy drains. You might find yourself constantly masking your true feelings, managing others’ emotions, or protecting yourself from toxicity, leaving you depleted and exhausted.

Now, let’s conduct an attachment inventory:

Step 1: Make a list of the people in your life, including pets and yourself.

Step 2: Evaluate each relationship based on the following criteria:

  • Strong: Does the bond feel robust and unbreakable?
  • Safe: Do you feel validated, seen, and accepted?
  • Secure: Do you trust the relationship to be there for you?
  • Supportive: Does the other person genuinely care about your goals and values?

Step 3: Reflect on your answers and consider:

  • Who energizes you? Who drains you?
  • Which relationships feel the most connected and supportive?
  • Which relationships feel complicated, risky, or insecure?
  • Who helps you become the person you want to be, and how?

Once you’ve identified the energy boosters and drainers in your life, brainstorm ways to nurture positive connections and set boundaries where necessary. It may not be a quick fix, but raising awareness about how relationships impact your energy levels is a crucial first step toward reclaiming your vitality.

Stay tuned for part three, where we’ll explore our final experiment to help you feel more refreshed and revitalized.
